Bristol

Dear Buckeye Local Family,

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I share devastating news with our school community. Tuesday, we lost one of our own. Bristol Crokie passed away, and our Panther family is heartbroken.

Bristol was an extraordinary young woman who made history at Buckeye Local. She blazed trails as a wrestler and football player, showing courage and determination every single day. She was the first female wrestler from Buckeye Local to compete in the OVAC tournament, and she didn't just compete, she placed, proving to everyone what we already knew: she was a fighter in every sense of the word.

But beyond her remarkable athletic achievements, Bristol was so much more. She was kind. She was loving. She was fiercely loyal to those she cared about. She had a spirit that inspired those around her to be brave, to work hard, and to never give up. She made our school better simply by being part of it.

Today, our hallways feel emptier. Our hearts feel heavier. The pain of losing Bristol is profound, and it's okay to feel that pain. It's okay to cry. It's okay to not be okay right now.

To our students: Please know that you are not alone in your grief. Lean on each other. Talk to trusted adults. Take care of one another. Bristol would want us to support each other the way she supported those she loved.

To our staff: Thank you for being there for our students during this unimaginably difficult time. Your compassion, your presence, and your care matter more than ever.

Counselors will be available throughout the day and in the coming days for anyone who needs support. Please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here for you.

We will honor Bristoll's memory by remembering her strength, her courage, and the light she brought into our lives. She was a Panther through and through, and she will forever be part of our family.

Rest in peace, Bristol. You were loved. You are missed. You will never be forgotten.

Once a Panther, Always a Panther.
